‘Veerappan’ set for release on 20th

‘Veerappan’, which is supposed to be a biopic of the notorious sandalwood smuggler, is getting ready to hit the screens in Andhra Pradesh on September 20th. AMR Ramesh has directed this film. Action King Arjun will be seen as DGP Vijayakumar. Kishore will be seen as Veerappan and Lakshmi Rai is essaying the role of a journalist.

The movie’s Telugu rights have been picked up by Sri J.V.Creations banner. Post production activities are complete and the film is ready for release.

Sandeep Chowtha has composed the music for this project and Vijay Milton is the cinematographer. The movie has been shot extensively in the forests located in the border areas of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

Reason Behind the Zanjeer Flop Talk

“Zanjeer” initially started with high rating from the media, but later on it turned out to be a dud at the box office. There is a special feature for Mega Family heroes. What ever may be the talk of the flick, their films will collect the maximum at the box office.

Due to T- agitation, this feature didn’t work out well this time. The collections of this flick were completely out of order. In spite of hitting 3500 screens, this flick didn’t even get the minimum collections at the box office. In Bollywood, this film is a big dud.

The real reason for the fall in collections for this flick is that the film “Shuddh Desi Romance” overtook “Zanjeer” with great pace. This film was released in just 900 screens and it collected thrice the amount compared to “Zanjeer”. The domination of this Bollywood flick and the performances of the “Zanjeer” actors finally turned the fate of this film.

AMAT pulls in good revenues in USA

The romantic family entertainer ‘Anthaku Mundhu Aa Taruvatha” has been doing good business in the USA. For its budget and scale of release, revenues are pretty good. The movie has raked in a figure of US$ 52,500 so far.

Indraganti Mohana Krishna has directed this movie. Sumanth Ashwin and Eesha have essayed the lead roles. Veteran actress Madhubala made a comeback to the silver screen after a long time with this film. Rao Ramesh, Rohini and Ravi Babu essayed crucial roles.

The film deals with the dynamics of relationships before and after marriage.

Allu Arjun’s RG shooting at Golkonda

Shooting of Stylish Star Allu Arjun’s ‘Race Gurram’ is currently underway at the famous Golkonda fort area. Allu Arjun is participating in the shoot. Shruti Haasan is the heroine in this movie and Saloni will be seen as the second heroine.

Shooting is going on at a good pace and the production unit is trying to get the film ready for January 2014. Some fight sequences and songs have already been shot. Surender Reddy is handling the direction of this movie and Thaman is composing the music.

South Indian International Movie Awards or SIIMA is one of the biggest award functions that is celebrated to award the talented technicians and artists from the four industries down south. Taapsee looses out on dubbing in three languages

It was earlier reported that Taapsee was offered a rare opportunity to dub for an English film that was to be dubbed in three languages Hindi, Telugu and Tamil. However she has now lost the opportunity owing to date issues. Taapsee was initially very excited with the offer but was disappointed on losing out the opportunity.

She felt that dubbing is a lengthy process and in case there are any corrections she would have to dub again which will take a lot of time and as she had prior commitments shooting for other films, she had no option but to opt out.

On the other hand she is eagerly waiting to shoot for her next film Muni 3 opposite Lawrence. Already a schedule has been completed a month ago.

Mahesh Babu seems to be the hot favourite of every new girl in Tollywood. Earlier many of the new comers have admitted their interest to work with Mahesh Babu, Here is one more debut heroine Simran Kaur who has openly expressed her desire to work with Tollywood Superstar. NTR – Samantha to shoot at RFC

NTR and Samantha will be seen as the lead pair in Kandireega Sreenivas’s upcoming project. They have already worked together for Harish Shankar’s ‘Ramayya Vasthavayya’, which is in the final stages of completion.

Kandireega Srinivas’s project was rumoured to have the title ‘Rabhasa’. But the makers are now looking for a new title. Samantha herself confirmed this fact on Twitter,saying that ‘Rabhasa’ is out of the equation. The second schedule of the film is going to start today (10th Sept) at Ramoji Film City. This movie is expected to be a mass entertainer, with a good amount of comedy.

‘Kochadaiyaan’ on Rajinikanth’s birthday

One of the most awaited Rajinikanth films, Kochadaiyaan has finally found a release date. The big budget production will now hit the screens on 12 December, the day Rajinikanth turns 63. The news was confirmed by the films co-producer Dr. Murli Manohar.

Deepika Padukone stars opposite Rajnikanth in this magnum opus and Rajni’s daughter Soundary Rajnikanth has directed the film. The music of the film is composed by A R Rahaman and a grand audio launch has been planned in October. Kochadiiyaan will be dubbed for Telugu audience as Vikrama Simha.

AVS is one of the finest comedians we have in industry; it is on this same day 21 years ago he made his acting debut. On the occasion of this he has recalled a small incident that he witnessed and was reported by Eenadu in which he said “It was on the sets of “Srinadha Kavi Sarvaboumudu” and a shot was getting ready under the direction of Bapu and Ramana. In a particular scene NTR was to be chained and beaten up with a whip, the shot got Okayed but NTR was not happy and asked for some time. He took a chair and sat in scorching sunlight without any shirt. The whole unit was worried as to what was happening. After 45 mins NTR stood up and asked to reshoot the scene and it was Okayed this time too. NTR gave an explanation that in this scene he should appear to be tired as he is beaten up but he was looking fresh with make up when it was first shot so he sat under sun to make the scene look more authentic. He was seventy years of age at that time which speaks volumes about his passion and dedication to movies and that is one reason why he is seen with high respect even today”.

Krish provides story for a daily TV serial

Director Krish comes across as a man with subtle sensibilities which is evident from the kind of stories he chooses to make movies. Now this talented young director has provided a story for a daily serial titled “Swathi Chinukulu” which will be telecasted very soon in ETV. Initially Krish wanted to make a feature film with the story,However he felt the scope is broad and hence went ahead with the serial. Sai Madhav Borra who got appreciation as a dialogue writer for ”Krishnam Vande Jagathgurum” has penned dialogues.

On his Bollywood debut Krish has confirmed that he will soon be directing “Gabbar” with Akshay Kumar which is a remake of Tamil film Ramana and will be produced by SanjayLeelaBhansali. Currently the preproduction work is going on and the shooting will start very soon.

Manchu Manoj admits that he is interested in direction
